2nd post of 2009

And it's April... ah well.

My poor left foot. It's been through a lot today. A cartwheel, then a game of soccer... I feel its pain. Really badly. I can't even walk with my left foot without it hurting a frigging ton. Hopefully a couple good night's sleep will heal it in time for diving on Wednesday... and Thursday.

School is making me miserable. I can't stand it. I think I used up all of my ambition and concentration for the end of last quarter, because I'm pretty much wasted. Well, not in that sense. Just exhausted. I can already see myself beginning to slack, procrastinating my lab journal corrections etc.

The older posts I wrote on here make me cringe, even if it was only in the span of a year and 1/2 or so. Bleh. I expect way too much of myself.

I doubt anyone bothers reading/writing in these blogs anymore, but I'm posting anyway.

I've been visualizing inwards in my head, and I think it'll help on Wednesday. Whenever I think about dives that I'm scared of doing in my mind it always seems so trivial that I'd get scared. But when I finally get on the board I can never do them. Yet they're really not that difficult to do, especially inwards. It's just a jump, kick back legs, thrust arms forward, duck your head, body tight... yeah.

Report cards today. 7/8 were A grades (A/A-) although it's a pity, because two of the classes where I got A-'s in I could have easily bumped up to an A.
It sucks. Even when I get a good report card I'm not proud of myself, because I know I won't be until I get straight A's. But even then, I wouldn't be too happy for myself because straight A's is something I'd normally expect out of myself. God.

I'm glad we can eat outside now. It feels good. My skin's already darkening, thanks to the good ol' quarter of Hispanic ethnicity in me.

9th grade has made me rather morose.

(This is a Legit Post)

So yesterday I went with my parents to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. It was alright - the similarities/sentimentality was too similar of Forrest Gump for me to love it, but it was a good movie. Except for the times when the two main characters were making love... bahaha. That was awkward. I was in between my parents when that happened. Numerous times, in fact. But it was PG-13 (prolly because Forrest Gump was. Nah, jk)

When the movie ended I was standing up and getting my popcorn bag off the floor when I saw this couple a few rows in front start making out. That was also pretty funny.

Last night I also happened to be surfing some digital shorts from SNL. They were really very funny.

According to Edline, I am failing health for three reasons:

a. My wellness test is missing ( ... )
b. I am 'missing' extra credit (extra credit)
c. I am apparently missing a wellness daily (WTF is that?)

And now my parents are going to get mad at me for something they won't give me a chance to explain.

I want a competent health teacher plz :(

Scungy is in Front of the Computer Screen

At least, he was when I was typing the title. Anyway.

So I got Wrath of the Lich King, and it's a major improvement from the last expansion pack. Prettier places, less bizzaro creatures (as Maggie Moo puts it) and way better quests. It took me two days to get to 71, but I'm still being called slow?

Facebook has made me realize one depressing thing: I have absolutely NO pictures of my friends, me, or me with my friends. Bah.

Mr. Voeller offered Sophia and I an enrichment project to do instead of 'following along with the rest of the class'. It seems a lot more fun to do than doing quizzes, tests, reviews, etc., so I'm going to do it. Plus, who can resist a chance to be 'enriched'?

Well, me. But that's beside the point >.>

It'll be fun doing those structured debates, eh Sophia?

We're beginning to learn proofs now. They're okay.

Btw, did anyone seen last weekend's SNL? "I'm bringin' turkey back...."
Bahahaha.

Happy 80th post

"If you were to look into a person's mind, you would realize, that, despite having the biggest house in the neighborhood, despite having parents who loved and supported you, despite having every opportunity that existed, despite having the greatest friends in the world, that same person could still be the most miserable human being on the planet."

Eh, just a thought.

Did I mention Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a VERY good movie?

It's amazing how much music affects my mood. I REALLY need to cut down on how much music I listen to, particularely music from Pan's Labyrinth, Schindler's List, Finding Neverland, Lord of the Rings, Memoirs of a Geisha, Munich, etc. etc.

Another post!

So my mom organized my room again, without my consent. And by doing that, I can't find the Pavement CD Jack burned me (sorry Jack), so while I was looking for it I came across a CD labeled 'Deerhoof'. I think, what the heck, so I put it in and ended up discovering weird but incredibly catchy Techno music (although Itunes labels it 'rock'. wtf?) I'll gladly let you guys borrow the CD, just comment.

I spent about three hours doing homework today. Physics was the most brutal, for obvious reasons. After I finished my chapter 4 notes I tried starting my chapter 2 notes, but I started on 'real world examples' for 2.6 before I was like "... no way." I was just so freaking fried from taking physics notes, I wouldn't have been able to write another word without taking a brief (30 minute) break. It was terrible.

I'm getting very frustrated with myself these days. I can't seem to take tests very well at all. It's gotten to the point where I can't predict the outcome of the tests I take, since there seems to be no difference between thinking that I did well and thinking that I did bad, since the score tends to end up the same at the end... bad. So, my parents will be talking to Paul tomorrow, and I might have to take tests to figure out what's wrong with my test taking (how redundent is that?). But I'm not asking for any sympathy. Or uncomfortable silences after I rant about something that's going wrong in my life. Actually, I'm never asking for those. But ironically they always come!

Bah. I don't want the week to start. 3 a days and 1 b day? Nuuuuuuu!

Yahoo answers is a very fun site to look around on. It makes you feel a little less weird. For example, I found out I am definitely not the only one who gets horrible hives whenever I get too cold, and I figured out that it means I'm actually allergic to the cold.

.... Right.

Not only that, but I learned that CAPD is more common than I thought, and not some weird disorder that happens to like, 1/60000 people. Or something.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a very good movie. I reccomend it to everyone, as long as you can handle the 'ohmy' stuff in it.

Adam told me some very hilarious jokes, none of which I can remember, which bothers me.

*sigh* I'm very tired.
